Dr. Sandra Burud is:

  • Co-author of the "2004 Outstanding HRD Book of the Year’ -- Leveraging the New Human Capital:  Adaptive Strategies, Results Achieved and Stories of Transformation. Award given 'for advancing the theory and practice of the profession, by the Academy of Human Resource Development, an international group of HRD scholars. 
  • Milt Moskowitz, wrote about the book, "In 25 years of covering this scene (the American work place) I've stacked three shelves with books... beginning with the Tom Peters-Robert Waterman 1982 Classic, In Search of Excellence and continuing to the Jim Collins books, Built to Last…and Good to Great…The Burud-Tumolo book is one of the latest additions to the literature, and I think it's one of the best of the breed."  (Book Review in the Journal, May/June 2005) Moskowitz is co-author of The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America. 
  • Visiting Scholar at the Peter F. Drucker and Mashotoshi Ito School of Management at Claremont Graduate University, where she conducts research and teaches about human capital.
  • Past President, Board of Directors, of the Alliance for Work-Life Progress in 2001 and led the effort to create a professional work-life certificate.
